Drawing and Picture

I thought it was very clever to show a drawing and a picture of the same image. I really enjoyed the detail that the artist put into the work. Very well done.

Big Event

I thought the color choices were very effective in this work. I love how the girl is in bright colors and seems to glow.

GI Joe

I thought this work was very interesting. I liked how the artist made the figure look like he was falling apart towards the bottom of the page. I thought it was clever to make the figure look strong at the top of the page yet weak at the bottom.

Bikes

I thought the color choices in this work were very interesting and fun. I like how everything in the background is bright in color and everything in the foreground is in light, pale tones. Everything is tied together and feels like everything has a purpose, another great design.

Line Drawings

I thought these were great drawing works. I love the black and white color choices. I also loved the detail and highlights in both works.

Cats

I thought this was a very cute and clever piece of work. I love the colors that were used and that every cat is somewhat different in style, color, placement, and attitude.

Fashion

I loved these three pictures and the way that they all tie together. I thought the bright colors were a very smart move to get the viewers attention and make an impact.

Music

I really enjoy this work because of the simple lines that were used. I like how all the colors are muted and the woman is looking away off the page.

Vector

I really liked this simple drawing. I like the highlights and how everything ties together. Everything is leading to the woman's face.

Woman

I loved the line quality in this work. I like how the artist used color to draw emphasis to the woman's clothing. I also like how the woman is drawn and the way she is looking at viewers.

Black and White

I really liked this simple design and how the artist used placement to make the work interesting. I like how the design starts with a simple object that get more and more complex.

Blurred Face

I found this image from a Communication Arts magazine in the Parkland Library.

I thought this image was interesting and different. I like how most of the face is blurred to the point where it is hard to make out some of the mans features. Although I do like how the center of the face is in focus to draw your eye to it.

Four Squares

I found this image from a Print magazine in the Parkland Library.

I really enjoyed the bright, intense colors that this artist chose. I also like how each square tells a story to the viewer. Out of all the four squares I really like the top left one. I find the blue, red and yellow very intense and well placed.

Road Trip!

I found this image from a Communication Arts magazine in the Parkland Library.

I really enjoyed the layout of this design as well as the colors that the artist used. I like how the buffalo draws your eye to the sign. I also like how the sun is the focal point and it's rays draw your eye to different elements in the design.

Horse

I found this image from a Print Art magazine in the Parkland Library.

I really enjoyed this image because of the emphases on the horse. I like how the flames act as the mane of the horse while also drawing your eye off the page.

Will Ferrell

I found this image from a Communication Arts magazine in the Parkland Library.

I liked this image because of the great amount of detail without the work. I really liked how the artist created the hair and made the eyes the focal point. I thought it was clever that Will's eyes look at you when you view the image.
